# Quickstart

> Three requests, from login to the daily trading volume of one of your assets.

You need a GlassMarkets account and a terminal with `curl`.

## 1. Log in

Copy the `token` from the response. The steps below send it as `<token>`. See
[Authentication](/guides/authentication) for token lifetime and two-factor
accounts.

## 2. List your organizations

Each organization lists its assets. Each asset lists the exchanges it trades
on and the pairs on each exchange:

The example leaves some fields out. Use these exact values in other requests:

| Value | Used as |
| - | - |
| Organization `slug` | `organization` |
| Asset `symbol` | `asset` or `assets` |
| Exchange `slug` | `exchange` |
| An entry of `pairs` | `pair` |

## 3. Read the trading volume of an asset

This request returns the daily trading volume of `BTC` for the last seven
days. Replace `BTC` with one of your assets from step 2.

Each row is one exchange pair and one time bucket (trimmed):

| Parameter | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `assets` | Comma-separated asset symbols, for example `BTC,ETH`. An asset outside your organizations returns `400`. Leave it out to get every asset you can access |
| `interval` | Size of each time bucket, for example `1h` or `1d`. Required |
| `lookback` | A window ending now, for example `1-day` or `7-days` |
| `time_start`, `time_end` | A fixed window, ISO 8601 in UTC. Cannot be combined with `lookback` |
